Andy and her bike

I decided to re-do all the line work for this one. I wasn't satisfied with how sketchy the previous iteration was, so I've created a much cleaner version, ready for some shading and maybe a few additional details. Reworked and simplified her tattoos as well, which you can compare with the last version of this, here.

Zombie Fighters Unite!

Getting closer to the finish line on this one. This project is really helping me speed up my line art quite a bit: confidence is key. So is being stylistically consistent, which is not something I typically strive for. Doing so in this project has been an interesting exercise, and will continue to be so. Yay, zombies!

Beach Bum Zombie: Update!

A little more progress on the beach zombie. Wear and tear is a blast to draw on zombies. I can really see why the genre is exploding so much lately. More to come on this one soon!

Recent progress on Zombie image number one. I love drawing zombies because each one is its own little story. You can't just draw a generic zombie. You have to think about who they were in life, what they were doing when they turned, and how they died. You have to know how long they've been a zombie, and what has happened to them since. If all of that comes through in the image of the zombie, you've done justice to the genre. This one was inspired by my discovery that hardcore surfers actually ride the N'awlins waves. Crazy Zombie surfers.

Beach Bum Zombie

Here is the roughest of rough sketches for a zombie concept. This one was infected at the beach, and some unfortunate soul attempted to fend her off with a beach umbrella, to no avail.
